Guess What: The New Way to Make Learning Fun with Teach on Mars

Exciting news for learning designers using Teach on Mars on a daily basis! The platform has launched an amazing new feature called "Guess What" that lets you create engaging interactive puzzles, and memory games to make learning both fun and challenging. With its easy-to-use customization options and training goals, you can easily track learner progress and adjust your training accordingly. Get ready to take your training to the next level with Teach on Mars' "Guess What"!

The "Guess What" feature serves various academic purposes, depending on the configuration and activity mode. The Against-the-clock mode is ideal for competitions or final exams, while the Retention mode helps learners memorize concepts. The activity can shift from a guessing quiz to a challenging deduction game by increasing image options. Learners can also choose their difficulty level, encouraging self-reflection and gauging their abilities.


To create a Guess What activity, go to Catalogue > Training courses > Your training course > Authoring. The Web Authoring tool has two tabs, "Content" and "Parameters." The former configures activity levels and edits content, while the latter configures the score and game mode with The Live! or Demo options.

By default, only the intermediate level is activated, but you can create up to three levels: Easy, Intermediate, and Expert. Each level has its specifications, with different penalties or bonuses. You can activate one, two, or all three levels, and learners can select their desired difficulty level. Edit the name and description of each level on the info page accessible via the "Learn more about the levels" button.
